As a growing, viable and successful organization, we are currently looking for a temporary part-time Web Designer to join our team.

Who you are

You are a highly motivated, energetic self-starter who is committed to making a difference in everything you do. You have extensive experience in creating original designs/layouts and developing highly usable web prototypes using the latest web technologies. Your communication skills are second to none. You are driven to meet deadlines, and you flourish in a results-oriented environment.

What you will do

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Work closely with the User Experience Designer to create workable prototypes using XHTML, CSS and JSF/RichFaces from existing paper prototypes.
  • Collaborate with the User Experience Designer by providing insight into the best possible rich solutions for an online application.
What you will bring
  • 3+ years of Web Design experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience with the following: XHTML & CSS (hand-coded), AJAX, Richfaces, JSF, JavaScript, XML.
  • Excellent design and visual composition skills with a strong understanding of colour and layout.
  • Ability to understand end-users from a user-centered design perspective.
  • Ability to rapidly iterate through design layouts and prototype.
  • Familiarity with data visualization.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written English), organizational and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge and passion for web trends and best practices.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript.
  • Some knowledge of Java programming would be a great advantage.
  • Experience in web application development an asset.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check.
